The provision of CPAP therapy can only be prescribed by a recognised sleep or respiratory physician, Peninsula Sleep Clinic will not supply anyone who does not have an appropriate prescription.
CPAP Home Trial:

Peninsula Sleep Clinic’s home trial process has evolved over the last 26 years of clinical practice and is designed to successfully establish patients onto CPAP therapy. The home trial period includes mask fitting, CPAP set-up and education for home use and all ongoing follow up consultations (including mask changes and disinfection processes) and phone calls with our highly trained CPAP therapists to ensure the best care. CPAP is a big life-change and having friendly helpful advice and support along the way makes a huge difference when trying to successfully initiate therapy.

CPAP machines and masks are available for a limited trial period (two months maximum) only. No long term rentals are available. Further details of the CPAP home trial are provided at the time of booking.

It is necessary to have an appointment for any CPAP related problems, this way we can ensure there are CPAP therapists available. Please phone for any inquiries, as therapists are not always available for patients who drop in.

Peninsula Sleep Clinic has been developing its processes over the past 26 years. Our data collection on CPAP usage shows that over the last three years on average >90% of our patients are successfully established onto CPAP therapy at the end of their home trial. This is much higher than reported usage rates in CPAP Trials at around 42%-46%(1, 2). We only initiate patients onto CPAP therapy via referral from a Sleep Physician.

Our CPAP Clinic has a unique structure where we can provide CPAP Therapist consultations to patients on a one-to-one basis, this gives patients the best opportunity for success when initiating CPAP Therapy. The structure also allows CPAP Therapists direct access to liaise with our patients’ Sleep Physicians and access to the Sleep Clinic’s overnight sleep study data. These data and interactions are invaluable when initiating CPAP Therapy and help us to resolve problems quickly and tailor the care for each individual patient.
